I actually didn’t know Caves prior to this if it’s not from Rizkan and Prabu. Clearly Rizkan has already been the one that knows better of UK scene. He has gone down the rabbit hole, and came out with Martha, Colour Me Wednesday and Block Fort on his label. I’d like to give a shout-out to him, and Prabu too, in regard to make the scene so exciting. They also did the 7" split with Sundials under Kiss of Death Records. After releasing Betterment album, Dave decided to leave the band, however Lou and Minty didn’t want to take off their feet from the gas pedal. They continued as the duo format and answered the fans with Leaving in 2014.

Some sundials use a shadow or the edge of a shadow while others use a line or spot of light to indicate the time. The shadow-casting object, known as a gnomon, may be a long thin rod or other object with a sharp tip or a straight edge. Sundials employ many types of gnomon. The gnomon may be fixed or moved according to the season. It may be oriented vertically, horizontally, aligned with the Earth's axis, or oriented in an altogether different direction determined by mathematics  . The orbit of the Earth is not perfectly circular and its rotational axis is not perpendicular to its orbit.

The Bronze Medal announce they've been chosen to play the BBC Introducing stage at this year's Reading and Leeds Festival. Jon Earl reveals what happens in his musical shed, and Caves in interview. Last on. Sun 31 Jul 2011 01:00. BBC Radio Bristol & BBC Somerset.

Sundials are an ancient method of telling the time. The idea of using sundials to tell the time of prayer was also popular in European monasteries between the 12th and 16th centuries. These ‘scratch dials’ are often very simple and consisted of a hole with lines radiating from it. Scratch Dial St. Johns Devises. Scratch dials are nearly always near doorways, and were likely home-made by the monks to keep track of prayer times. A thin stick or pencil (or even a finger) would be inserted in the hole, and the resulting shadow indicates the time.
