Live at the Fillmore East is a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix released on February 23, 1999. The album documents Hendrix's performances with the Band of Gypsys at the Fillmore East on December 31, 1969 and January 1, 1970. It is drawn from the same performances as, and can be seen as an extended complement to, the Band of Gypsys album, consisting mostly of songs not on the original album. Somewhere' first appeared on the 2000 box set 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience,' though the new version is supposedly "entirely different. And 'Baby Let Me Move You' appears to be a true, honest-to-goodness unreleased track, featuring Hendrix and sax player Lonnie Youngblood in the studio together in March of 1969. Whether this is a fully realized track or just an aimless studio jam, we won't know until March 5, when the album is slated for release.

On March 9, Sony Legacy Recordings will release a new posthumous Jimi Hendrix album called Both Sides of the Sky. 10 new songs. The 13-track LP consists of songs recorded between 1968 to 1970, including 10 previously unheard recordings like a 1969 cover of Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock. Will features guest collaborations with Stephen Stills, Lonnie Youngblood, Jonny Winter, and Billy Cox and Buddy Miles from Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys lineup

Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live At the Hollywood Bowl 9/14/68, part of Experience Hendrix’s Dagger Records official bootleg series, is another exclusive component. The never before released recording captures the band and the mounting excitement that took place just weeks before the release of Electric Ladyland. This live album documents their triumphant Los Angeles concert held a few weeks before Electric Ladyland was released. The recently discovered two-track soundboard recording captures the energy that had the audience in such a frenzy that many concert goers jumped into the reflecting pool that separated the bandstand from the seats.
