Most of All" is a B. J. Thomas single from the 1970 album, Most of All, on Scepter Records. The song, composed by Buddy Buie and . Cobb (Classics IV, Atlanta Rhythm Section), reached on the Billboard Adult Contemporary singles chart, and on the Billboard Hot 100, in the same year. The song has been republished on many of Thomas' albums and greatest hits compilations, including a calypso arranged duo with Keb' Mo' on The Living Room Sessions (2013).

Most Of All ‎(8-Trk, Album). I have another side to this album (no pun intended). This fills me with so many memories. Thomas had a beautiful voice and he didn't need to blow it out of the pipes every time. His smooth vocals on "Most of All" goes smoothly with the arrangements. Rainy Nights in Georgia" is deep and soulful. The whole album is like fine wine, smooth and not too sweet. As you drink more of it it gives a great flavor. There's a lot of hidden gems here, "No Love at All" has a great 70's feel to it ala Elvis. A great pick up if you can find a nice copy

I have another side to this album (no pun intended). This fills me with so many memories. Yes, B.J. Thomas had a beautiful voice and he didn't need to blow it out of the pipes every time. His smooth vocals on "Most of All" goes smoothly with the arrangements. "Rainy Nights in Georgia" is deep and soulful. The whole album is like fine wine, smooth and not too sweet. As you drink more of it it gives a great flavor. There's a lot of hidden gems here, "No Love at All" has a great 70's feel to it ala Elvis. A great pick up if you can find a nice copy. Four stars.

The problem, you see, is that B.J. was in love with his own voice. That big, smooth, country-inflected voice, that delivered the booming, aching tones that had made "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" an instant classic. It wasn't that he **couldn't** rock, you see, it's just that he was so in love with his own pipes that he couldn't push his ego out of the way long enough to live up to his material. And let's face it, there's some good material here - a couple of James Taylor's best, a classic from Billy Joe White, and a couple of great tracks from Wayne Carson. Production by soon-to-be Atlanta Rhythm Section piledrivers Buddy Buie and J.R. Cobb, and Memphis legend Chips Moman should have put it over the top -- but there was B.J., so in love with his sound that he stripped the soul right out of his performance like the meat gets stripped off a rack of ribs. "No Love At All" was a medium-sized hit (the only track he put any oomph into... huh!); the rest of the production, while pretty, lies there like a gasping fish most of the time. B.J. would figure it out, of course, in two years when he teamed up with a superstar, super-soul backing crew to take "Rock And Roll Lullabye" up the charts. But then he'd forget again... And it's too bad. The boy had soul -- when he could figure out how to get out of his own way and let it shine.
