The untitled ninth studio album by American rapper Nas, commonly referred to eponymously as Nas, was released on July 15, 2008 by The Jones Experience and Def Jam Recordings. Its original title Nigger was changed due to controversy surrounding the racial epithet. The album is distinguished for its political content, diverse sources of production, and provocative subject matter. The album features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Busta Rhymes, and The Game, among others.

Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled is a British television programme that was first broadcast on Dave and hosted by comedian Alan Davies. In each episode Davies holds an unscripted roundtable discussion with four guests. The guests include stand-up comedians, comedy writers and other well-known figures in the entertainment industry. Each episode begins untitled – hence the series name – but a title is chosen at the conclusion of the episode, often a full or paraphrased quote from one of the guest's anecdotes.

With this new album As Yet Untitled I try to present two new works which both show new characteristics of drone music I myself never really focused on. The first piece is based on an earlier recording I made for an art project started by Jos Smolders. The piece I made never was released but with the sounds I created I built this new work. Unlike Smolders’ work, it’s really rough and raw, and it explores a more noisy side of the drone field. Still it is a dedication to the work of Jos Smolders who in his way of working really inspires me with his detailed and well thought through works  . Guthrie’s own production company, GOTcompany, allows him to explore and develop his interest in physicality, music and text. The company received critical acclaim for its Death Actually show, which premiered at the Spitalfields Festival and includes the world’s first staging of three Bach motets as well as a new orchestration of Schubert Die Schöne Müllerin performed with a puppet, strings, guitars and percussion.
