Forever (Hippos in Tanks). Alongside close local contemporaries Pure X and Neon Indian, Sleep ∞ Over is redefining Texas slowcore for the chillwave generation. While essentially the solo vehicle of Stefanie Franciotti, her debut full-length sounds like a full-band affair, with woozy synths, minimal drums, and breathy vocals. Forever is a mood album, heavily sedated and perpetually out of focus, like an . dream after cough syrup.

Formed in early 2010, leading lady Stefanie Franciotti has had to fight to keep Sleep ∞ Over on track. We’re lucky that the ‘Forever’ album is even being released after two bandmates left the group just before recording sessions kicked off. These struggles aren’t apparent on tape, its a strong debut  . Sleep ∞ Over's debut full-length officially drops September 27th, more than a year after the band began accumulating buzz with the release of phantasmagoric haunters "Outer Limits" and "Your World Is Night". Pitchfork described them as "what Beach House might sound like if they played in a graveyard," which sounded about right at the time. Then, before recording began on the album that would become Forever, members Sarah Brown and Christa Palazzolo left to form Boy Friend, leaving Stefanie Franciotti the lone remaining member of Sleep ∞ Over.

Sleep Forever is the second album by San Diego rock band Crocodiles. It was released by American label Fat Possum Records the year after the band's debut, Summer of Hate. Sleep Forever was recorded in a vintage studio in Joshua Tree in California's Mojave Desert by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco. The record incorporates various styles and shows krautrock, indie, noise rock, psychedelic, shoegaze, drone rock, and '60s girl-group influences.
