Emergency is the sixteenth studio album by the American band Kool & the Gang, released in 1984
This album marked the end of Kool & the Gang's 15-year association with De-Lite Records. Impressively, the group charted each of those 15 years, including ten number one singles. Emergency continued that tradition, and was responsible for two of those number one singles. The first release, "Misled," with its crackin' bassline, led the charge; it peaked at number three on the Billboard R&B charts.

Emergency (Cass, Album, Unofficial). We get the point by the third minute and the songs could have ended leaving us wanting more (instead of wanting to hit the "NEXT" button). Track 3, "Misled", fits in pretty nicely as well with a cool groove to it and amusing lyrics, but. once we hit that 5th track, "Surrender", the album starts to turn into a downward spiral that just ends in a complete uninspired mess.
Emergency, the sixteenth album by Kool & the Gang, was released on November 15th, 1984. This album eventually ended up being the band’s music career. Earning RIAA Double Platinum status in America, Platinum in Canada, and Silver in the UK, it isn’t hard to see the streaks of success Emergency left behind. The album received fantastic success with Fresh, Misled, Cherish, and Emergency, earning the and spots on the Billboard Top 100 Charts.
