Emergency is the sixteenth studio album by the American band Kool & the Gang, released in 1984

This album marked the end of Kool & the Gang's 15-year association with De-Lite Records. Impressively, the group charted each of those 15 years, including ten number one singles. Emergency continued that tradition, and was responsible for two of those number one singles. The first release, "Misled," with its crackin' bassline, led the charge; it peaked at number three on the Billboard R&B charts.

Vendi questa versione. this album starts out SO strong, really funky and catchy, then goes horribly pear shaped on side 2. Although they are each about a minute and half too long, the three big cuts on the album, tracks 1, 2, and 4 ("Emergency ", "Fresh" and "Cherish"), are definitely worth the price of admission. They still make me smile after all these years, although, as I said they are all a little long winded at an average of almost 5 minutes each
