Tiffany - Blue Dream Sophie Sweetland is one of the more distinctive artists to emerge from Vancouver's thriving scene. Her output is varied and recognizable, using crafty hand percussion and crude breaks with a dusty sound palette. Blue Dream, the first solo EP on Pacific Rhythm, is her most vibrant record yet, charming with oddball rhythms and curious samples.
Sophie Sweetland (AKA . iffany) delivered one of the strongest tracks on the Rhythms of the Pacific Vol 2 compilation, so it s little surprise to see Pacific Rhythm releasing an entire EP of her productions. Predictably, the Canadian serves up a quartet of tracks inspired by the glowing warmth of stretched out sunsets and the morning fresh feel of summer sunrises. She begins with the bustling instrumental hip hop shuffle of Get Back to You, before diving headfirst into the crystal clear waters of dub flecked deep house trip Blue Dream.

Tiffany Blue is the colloquial name for the light medium robin egg blue color associated with Tiffany & C. the New York City jewelry company created by Charles Tiffany and John Young in 1837. It is similar to the color teal visually, but it is different. The color was used on the cover of Tiffany's Blue Book, first published in 1845. Since then, Tiffany & Co. has used the color extensively on promotional materials like boxes and bags.
