Album · 1975 · 11 Songs. Here Fulwood leads the band in a series of tightly knit yet monstrous grooves. Good to Your Earhole is one of Funkadelic’s great anthems, a seamless merger of funk and hard rock that incites listeners to put your hands together, come on stomp your feet! Better By the Pound and Stuffs and Things deliver more wallop, with the squad of distinct.

Let's Take It to the Stage (1975). Tales of Kidd Funkadelic (1976). Hardcore Jollies (1976). The tracks were belatedly thrown together by Westbound to form another album for release, Tales of Kidd Funkadelic. The song "Let's Take It to the People" has been sampled by hip-hop band A Tribe Called Quest for their song "Everything Is Fair", on their album The Low End Theory. The following year they released the amazing Let's Take It to the Stage. Let's Take It to the Stage was part invitation, part challenge, part promise and all funk. This was an album of cool music made by cool people for cool people, and while "cool" might not sound like a political statement, Let's Take It to the Stage successfully showcased the oldest political ploy in history – the concept of "us" vs. "them". To Funkadelic though, "us" was a potentially all inclusive concept, one that had room to embrace anybody who was down (on the one, of course) with the sounds of sex, spectacle and equality that Let's Take It to the Stage offered. Funkadelic guitar great Eddie Hazel. To that end, Funkadelic refused.

I personally believe that Funkadelic were hitting a peak when they made 'Let's Take It To The Stage". They had certainly perfected their mix of funk and psychedelic rock and had it down to a science. And in the pure funk-rock idion "Good To Your Earhole","Stuffs And Things" and the unforgettable "Get Off Your Ass And Jam" are the real. deal! The zany title track and the cryptic "Better By The Pound" are P-Funk basics with the latter featuring a brilliant percussion section.
