Blood Money is based on the socio/political play "Woyzeck," originally written by a young German poet Georg Buchner as a spare, cinematic piece in 1837 and inspired by the true story of a German soldier who was driven mad by bizarre army medical experiments and infidelity, which led him to murder his lover  . Tom Waits continues to strike a bargain with the public. Pay the paltry admission, enter the tent, and be dazzled, amazed, moved and amused. David Greenberger, NPR'S "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED".

With a label on the front side "Newly Remastered with Waits/Brennan". Comes with full-colour innersleeve and download code.

Tom Waits has been milking the concept of the ramshackle apocalyptic carnival for twenty years now, flaunting a keen otherworldly nostalgia and a preoccupation with freaks that transcends the hell out of Harmony Korine's. In the 80s- when everything was measured in 'oodles' and forecasts didn't include a 30% chance of terrorism- Waits rescued himself from his role as a clever lounge slouch by going real weird right about the time he hitched himself to Kathleen Brennan, whose influence has grown with each release (she co-wrote and co-produced both.

Calliope 13. A Good Man Is Hard To Find. Based on director Robert Wilson's horrific tale of a 19th century Prussian soldier subjected to medical experiments after being driven insane by his cheating woman, Tom Waits' Blood Money is-contrarily-the funniest Waits album since his late 1970s drunken cabaret period.

Wild Python
The American singer/songwriter Tom Waits has been since the 1970s as one of the most influential pop musicians. Are hard to fathom music is a mixture of American and European styles such as jazz, blues, cabaret and classical music. Then in 2002 the message came up that he wanted to release two albums at the same time, found anyone that foolish and irresponsible commercial. However, it is understandable because the albums Blood Money and Alice have many similarities. The albums are both based on plays by Robert Wilson and the songs layers in both cases for several years on the shelf. However, there are also differences in terms of both music and in terms of atmosphere. Where Alice relatively cheerful and light-footed sounds is Blood Money pretty philosophical and pensive. Waits wrote the songs in 2000 for the play Woyzeck, based on the eponymous story by the poet Georg Büchner. It's about a poor soldier who slowly goes mad and eventually murdered his own wife for a little money. No story to be happy and so is the music. Waits has Blood Money audibly influenced by Büchners contemporary Kurt Weil. As a result, this cd contains pretty heavy costs that probably only at the unconditional Waits-fans will delight.
