Joan Manuel Serrat i Teresa (Catalan pronunciation: ; born 27 December 1943) is a Spanish musician, singer-songwriter, recording artist, and performer. Serrat's lyrical style has been influenced by other poets such as Mario Benedetti, Antonio Machado, Miguel Hernández, Rafael Alberti, Federico García Lorca, Pablo Neruda, and León Felipe.

Joan Manuel Serrat es un cantautor, compositor, actor, poeta y músico nacido en Barcelona en el año 1943. Su obra siempre ha estado influenciada por grandes poetas, como Mario Benedetti, Miguel Hernández, Lorca, et. y por diversos géneros musicales como el folklore catalán, la copla, el tango, el bolero y el cancionero popular de Latino Ámerica. Mientras estudiaba la carrera, junto a tres amigos más formaron un grupo, cuya aventura musical no llegaría muy lejos. Con el éxito también llegaron sus primeras giras internacionales, principalmente a Latinoámerica.
