The English hard rock band Def Leppard have released 11 original studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, one cover album, and three extended plays. Def Leppard was formed in 1977 by vocalist Joe Elliott, bass player Rick "Sav" Savage, guitarist Pete Willis, and drummer Tony Kenning. They later released the EP The Def Leppard . The band signed with Mercury Records and released their debut full-length album On Through the Night.
More importantly though, this album demonstrates why Def Leppard STILL is a tremendously talented group of English lads. Their songs never grow old and they continue to get better. In fact, I would go so far as to say, "If you were only allowed to have one Album, this would be the one I'd select". I first heard of Def Leppard during the late '70s, when there were more than a dozen, or so, new, what were called "Heavy Metal Rock Bands"
