Heart & Soul is the nineteenth studio album by Joe Cocker, released in the UK on 12 October 2004, and in the US on 1 February 2005. The album is composed solely of cover songs, including a live version of the U2 song "One" taken from Cocker's 2004 Night of the Proms performance in Antwerp, Belgium. The album reached No. 64 on Billboard's 200. "What's Going On" – 5:15 (Renaldo Benson, Al Cleveland, Marvin Gaye). Chain of Fools" – 3:46 (Don Covay).

If Sembene's films are "African" then, it's because they reflect the evolution of African identity and not because they indulge in quaint cultural nostalgia. Either the African adopts to his time, his era, or he doesn't. And he talks of the influence of Western films and soap operas, a form of cultural colonialism which skews African priorities. All of these conflicts bring Africa to a moment of great responsibility. It's a crossroads, a moment of choice between certain values. But as an artist, my problem is to see these contradictions and to lay them before my society.

Sembene! tells the story of the self-taught novelist and filmmaker Ousmane Sembène, provided by Gadjigo, who wrote Sembene's biography Ousmane Sembène. Sembène was a Senegalese film producer, director and writer.

An article about the "Sembene Across Africa" screenings that took place this month. The Sembene Estate and Galle Ceddo Projects partnered with over 80 African organizations to provide 150 public screenings, as well as free streams and community events across 32 countries. The documentary "Sembene!" was screened alongside the director's classic 1975 satire, "Xala. Widely considered the father of African cinema, Sembene passed away two months after his masterwork, "Moolaade" (2004) was screened at Ebertfest in 2007.

The Los Angeles Times considered him one of the greatest authors of Africa and has often been called the "father of African film"  . From childhood Sembène was exposed to Serer religion especially the Tuur festival, in which he was made cult servant. Although the Tuur demands offerings of curdled milk to the ancestral spirits (Pangool), Sembène did not take his responsibility as cult servant seriously and was known for drinking the offerings made to the ancestors. Some of his adult work draws on Serer themes

Sembene Ousmane weaves a beautiful piece of historical fictions with God's Bits of Wood and teaches the reader to never forget that matters of race, gender, and equality, are all matters that might never go away but we must still always fight fo. .The book is set in West Africa in a time of awakening for the African workers of the region. it is a courageous tale of courageous people. and eventually welcome celebration A beautiful study of the human spirit of endurance, and hope.
