The Live Tapes Vol. 3 is a live album by Australian rock band Cold Chisel. The album was recorded at The Manly Vale Hotel in Sydney on 7 June 1980, the same week the band's third studio album, East was released. The Live Tapes Vol. 3 released on 2 December 2016 as the third in an ongoing series of special live recordings unearthed from Cold Chisel's own archives.

Cold Chisel - The Live Tapes' Vol 3 'Live at the Manly Vale Hotel. 235. 30. Cold Chisel has announced a very special one-off show in Adelaide on Friday, 2 March 2018 to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Adelaide 500. Under the banner of 'Made In SA', they have personally hand-picked a bill of Sth Australian born artists - inviting their friend Kasey Chambers, the critically-hailed rock outfit Bad//Dreems and two local Music SA openers to join them.
The Live Tapes - Vol 3 - Live At The Manly Vale Hotel' was recorded on Saturday June 7, 1980 the same week that Cold Chisel's groundbreaking third album 'East' was released. East' would go on to dominate the charts for the rest of 1980 and set a new high for Australian music (the album is now well past 10 x Platinum). Although Cold Chisel occasionally covered this gem in '79 and '80, a recording of the song has never surfaced till now. Additionally, the band deliver an emotional take on the Bob Dylan classic "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," which they offer as a tribute to two close friends and roadies who had recently died in a truck accident.
