Speak & Spell is the debut studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released on 5 October 1981 by Mute Records. It was the band's only album to feature Vince Clarke, and as a result, is much lighter in tone than their subsequent releases. The album peaked at number 10 on the UK Albums Chart, and was ranked number 991 in the 2000 book All-Time Top 1000 Albums.

It is a loaner and will be returned to Astell&Kern. AK is not a site advertiser and in no way affiliated with Headfonia. About Astell&Kern: Astell&Kern is a South Korean high end brand for digital audio players (DAPs). Astell&Kern is a branch of Korea’s iRiver, which actually is the first company to ever build a portable audio player. Not only is this open, spacious and relentlessly hi-fi recording loaded with miniscule details – of von Otter’s phrasing, of her tongue, teeth and palate noises - it also reveals some of the secrets of her breath-management. And in a big symphonic set-piece like this there are numerous chances for your speakers to show off just how capable they are of picking up the nuances. The sound of a flute-player’s embouchure, the rattle of a snare beneath a drum-skin, the blare of a trumpet as it sounds the charge, even the squeak of a timpani foot-pedal – tiny details like this are what makes a piece of music truly alive.

Mark James Robert Essex (August 12, 1949 – January 7, 1973) was an American who killed nine people, including five policemen, and wounded 13 others in New Orleans on January 1, 1973, and January 7, 1973. Mark James Robert Essex was born in Emporia, Kansas. After graduating from Emporia Senior High School in 1967, Essex attended Emporia State University, where he dropped out after only one semester.
