Album Intro: Superiority Complex, the 2nd full length release from Edmontons Wednesday Night Heroes, builds on their seminal self titled debut. The live-for-now attitude is the real power behind the band and more importantly the motivation for the high-flying stage show and energetic sound. Superiority Complex captures that energy and growth. Comprised of four avid music collectors with a wide variety of influences and tastes, The Heroes brand of punk rock is raw and highly energetic with a style firmly embedded in the historic roots
The Wednesday Night Heroes, for example, are a Canadian punk revival band with a very British sound; if one didn't know that Superiority Complex was recorded in Edmonton, Canada, in late 2002 and early 2003, he/she could easily assume that it was recorded in London around 1979. This CD is pure, unadulterated oi!, and the Heroes sound like a group of ale-drinking, hell-raising Cockneys from London's East End (an area that, like South Philadelphia or Chicago's Southwest Side, has a very working-class history)

Along the way, Wednesday Night Heroes have had a few lineup changes; in 2004, the lineup consisted of Graeme MacKinnon on lead vocals, his brother Luke MacKinnon, . Luke Manimal, on bass, Konrad Adrelunas (formerly of an Edmonton punk band called Wrekdefy) on guitar and Jay Zazula on drums. Zazula, who is also known in Canadian rock circles for playing with Mad Bomber Society, replaced former Heroes drummer Todd Rocket; Adrelunas replaced former Heroes guitarist Lance the Impaler. That CD was followed by "No Regrets for Our Youth" (a 7" vinyl EP) in 2001, and Heroes' second full-length album, Superiority Complex, in 2003. No Regrets for Our Youth" and Superiority Complex were also released on Longshot Music.
