Roger Marcel Cicero Ciceu (6 July 1970 – 24 March 2016) was a German jazz and pop musician. Roger Cicero was born in 1970 in Berlin to Romanian jazz pianist Eugen Cicero and dancer Lili Cziczeo. He made his first stage appearance at the age of eleven as a support act for Swiss singer Helen Vita and was first on television aged 16, alongside the RIAS-Tanzorchester, then under the direction of Horst Jankowski.

His unexpected death of a stroke at age 45 on March 24, 2016, shocked the German music scene and public. Now Roger Cicero is being honored with a release on Friday of his greatest hits.

Roger Cicero, one of the giants of the modern German music scene, has passed away aged just 45 following a stroke. Cicero was a talented performer who performed in public throughout his teenage years, before studying jazz singing at the Amsterdam Academy of Arts. He went on to form the Roger Cicero Quartet and also performed with his 11-piece big band. He signed to Warner Music Central Europe and released his debut album Männersachen in 2006. Cicero was the very first artist at Starwatch Music, the label founded by the German TV station ProSieben/Sat.
