Complete your Colour Haze collection. The CD version is way better than the double-LP one, especially because of the track Mountain which is in my opinion one of the best tracks I've ever heard.

Founded in 1994, Colour Haze are a contemporary three-piece German Stoner Rock/ Psychedelic Rock band, at least in the literal sense. The band's current lineup includes Stefan Koglek (vocals/guitar), Manfred Merwald (drums) and Philipp Rasthofer (bass). Hailing from Munich, they follow in the tradition of other classic rock trios such as Cream, Grand Funk Railroad and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Colour Haze have an organic feel in their experimentation and it always feels natural from whence it came and went. A good example of this is found in the albums 20 minute epic ‘Peace, Brothers and Sisters’. Opening with a bell, some wind and then what could be described as the birth child between the riffs of the eagles and dire straits, the song gathers momentum and lands in one notably cool groove with fantastically glorious vocals and well-placed guitar feedback between staccato chords. Colour Haze is an essential album for any fan of 70’s/desert/stoner rock and isn’t the only album of these three Germans worth checking out. ‘Temple’ is the same deal with crisper melodic vocals, less hard rocking and a tighter production effort. Los Sounds De Krauts’ is a longer affair whose last 4 songs (of which comprise most of the album) are incredible.
