Zone Six biography The members of ZONE SIX have one intention - to play improvised music. Founded in 1997 by Dave Schmidt and Hans-Peter Ringholz the band is wellknown now in Germany for delivering a mix of psychedelic/space, trance and kraut. They played together with the Hawkwind members Nik Turner and Huw Lloyd-Langton in 1998 and have been seen on many festivals like Hawkfanmeeting or Burg Herzberg open-air. The band also produced the retrospective '10 Years Of Aural Psychedelic Journeys' in 2007 with rare & unreleased tracks of the first decade in the life of ZONE SIX. Recommended to fans of trippy, psych and kraut improvised rock music. Rivertree (Uwe Zickel).

The female vocals on ZONE SIX (Early Birds eb 001) added a unique twist to the sound, although some of the dub and pop clichés let them down on at least two occasions. Pink Floyd have been known to perform and/or record a number of songs and instrumentals which have never been officially released on a single or album. Only those whose existence can be reliably confirmed are listed here. Bootleg recordings of the majority of below listed songs exist. Several previously unreleased songs appeared on The Early Years 1965–1972 box set in November 2016, which marked their first official release.

1998, the music got supplemented by vocals and released as the today known debut album via Ealry Birds records, only on CD. Sold out since many years. The native version without the vocals, which was not really released before (except those very few self-released tapes in 1997), is now released via Sulatron Records, according to the band’s 20 years anniversary, as CD and VINYL (manufactured in Germany).
