Night School is the third album by American electronic music band Neon Indian. It was announced on August 13, 2015, and was released on October 16, 2015. The album title was an intentional nod to Alan Palomo's other music project, titled VEGA, for which he has produced only a single EP. Noticing that ideas from both Neon Indian and VEGA were merging, Palomo decided to combine the two projects into one and retire the use of the VEGA moniker.

Night School over the span of four years at a number of crash pads across America, but most crucial to the album was a self-described "magical winter" the singer spent on a Carnival Fantasy Cruise ship with his brother, who played in the house band. Night School is Neon Indian’s 3rd studio album, following up 2011’s Era Extraña. From drunkenly awakening on tour only to find hours worth of music stolen, to the magical winter, an ocean cruise retreat with his brother, the 4-year rocky journey to create VEGA INTL. was Neon Indian’s longest pause at the time, but applauded by fans and critics alike, evidently it was worth the wait. Upon release, VEGA INTL. Night School takes a dancier, upbeat approach to Neon Indian’s classic chillwave sound, originally meant to be an album for his other solo project, VEGA.
