Appleseed is an EP by the American hip hop artist Aesop Rock, the second of two self-released CDs before his first Mush Records album, Float (2000). The artwork for this EP was by Aesop Rock and Neal Usatin. The track "Dryspell" liberally samples the song "Peace" by Ornette Coleman. The album was re-released for the summer 2008 tour, but only 1,000 copies were printed.

Ian Matthias Bavitz (born June 5, 1976), better known by his stage name Aesop Rock, is an American hip hop recording artist and producer residing in Portland, Oregon. He was at the forefront of the new wave of underground and alternative hip hop acts that emerged during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was signed to El-P's Definitive Jux label until it went on hiatus in 2010. betterPropaganda ranked him at number 19 at the Top 100 Artists of the Decade.

2008 reissue with Jeremy fish artwork on the disc.The differences from the original release (besides the artwork on the disc itself) are that Blockhead's email address on the back cover has been blacked out, the clarity of the artwork on the cover and rear artwork are different, and the cover and traycard have been printed on higher quality inserts not zeroxed, hand-cut inserts like the initial press.
