Mira Johanna Kunnasluoto born (13 January 1974 in Elimäki, Finland) is an award-winning Finnish singer. She first came to fame as a tango singer; now her repertoire includes evergreens and Finnish pop. She is second youngest of four sisters. Her parents divorced when she was only 3, after which she became shy and introverted: "At school I found comfort in arts subjects, in which I could express myself. I liked drawing, I drew a lot at home, and I painted in watercolours

Although it achieved moderate success in the US, peaking at number 25 when released in 1982. Her debut album Kim Wilde repeated the success of the single, Wildes follow-up album was 1982s Select, led by the hit singles Cambodia and View from a Bridge. Both were number 1 hits in France and reached Top 10 positions in Germany, at the time, there was some controversy about Wildes hesitation to do live concerts. Her first concerts in September 1982 took place in Denmark, before embarking on a UK-wide tour in October, Wildes third album, Catch as Catch Can was a relative failure.
