There are those who argue that all reggae sounds the same, and that roots reggae, in particular, consists entirely of minor variations on a very small set of musical (and, Jah knows, lyrical) themes. Reggae aficionados will agree, to a point (though they may point out that the same can be said of Baroque music, big-band jazz, and bluegrass).

Jacob Miller - Girl Name Pat Girl Name Pat Jacob Miller. Who Say Jah No Dread.
Coining Miller as Jacob "Killer" Miller, the group continued to build popularity. Their first hit with Jacob Miller was "Tenement Yard", followed by "Tired Fi Lick Weed In a Bush". While recording, Miller continued pursuing a solo career, recording "Forward Jah Jah Children," "Girl Don't Com" produced by Gussie Clarke, and "I'm a Natty" produced by Joe Gibbs. He earned second place in Jamaica's 1976 Festival. The album Who Say Jah No Dread featured two versions of each of these tracks; the original and a dub engineered by King Tubby. Miller was featured in the film Rockers, alongside many other musicians including Gregory Isaacs, Big Youth and Burning Spear.

The late reggae singer Jacob Miller is an icon from reggae’s golden era of the 1970s. A contemporary of Bob Marley who helped raise the genre to an international level as the lead singer of Inner Circle, his work is among the reggae’s most highly regarded. His cameo role in the film Rockers and the documentary Roots Rock Reggae have ensured his legacy.
