Jen Cloher is a highly respected recording and performing artist and co-founder of Milk! Records. Since 2014, her output has been increasingly biting, witty and poetic, with her last album, the critically lauded In Blood Memory representing an artistic apex for the artist and garnering her a prestigious Australian Music Prize nomination. Her self titled fourth album is released August 11, 2017.

Jen Cloher is an Australian folk rock singer-songwriter, currently based in Melbourne, Victoria. Originally from Adelaide, Cloher originally moved to Sydney to pursue a degree at NIDA. Following her graduation, Cloher instead decided to begin playing music as opposed to continuing with acting. Her first EP, Permanent Marker, was released via Shiny Records in 2005. Until 2012, this would be the only release baring solely Cloher's name.

I wrote In Blood Memory over six months and recorded it in six days. I ran a crowd sourcing campaign to fund the release. It felt good to move quickly and intuitively. While we were making the album we found inspiration in Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Lower Plenty, Patti Smith, Dick Diver, Television, The Drones, Velvet Underground, Kurt Vile and Twerps. In Blood Memory is a live album. Its strength lies in passionate performances from a great band. Drums are spilling into vocal mics and guitars into drum overheads.
