I'm New Here is the 13th and final studio album by American vocalist and pianist Gil Scott-Heron. It was released on February 8, 2010, by XL Recordings and was his first release of original music in 16 years, following a period of personal and legal troubles with drug addiction

A1: Recorded October 1973 at DB Sound Studios, Silver Springs, Maryland The H2O Gate Blues poem was originally composed in March 1973, and presented for the first time in concert at the Berkley Jazz Festival in April of that year. A2: Recorded December, 1974, in concert at Loeb Student Center, Campus of New York Univercity. This poem was composed shortly after former President Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon. A3:Recorded at Tonto Studios, Santa Monica, California, in the Spring of 1978.

Scott-Heron’s recording work is often associated with black militant activism and has received much critical acclaim for one of his most well-known compositions The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.
