But Mystic, founded by former major-label honcho Doug Moody, is fondly remembered by true hardcore devotees for its uncompromising allegiance to unknown bands, a large percentage of which stayed that way and now populate this collection of previously hard to find and downright rare tracks. The leadoff is by a band that certainly did not remain unknown but did get its start.

RKL also sold their Mystic-era material to Destiny without Mystic Records' permission. Destiny proceeded to release a compilation album of Mystic recordings and called it Revenge is a Beautiful Feeling in reference to their perceived mistreatment by Mystic Records. It was originally released in 1997 on Mystic Records. In 2004 SPV re-released the album with a different cover (designed by Frank Fiedler). Another exhibited the register of births and deaths, the marriages, the number of those qualified to bear arms, and the like details in reference to the population of the kingdom.

During this time RKL contributed various songs to a number of Mystic compilations. In 1985 the band soon recorded and released their first full-length LP, Keep Laughing on Mystic Records with Dan Sites once again providing artwork. This release included classic RKL tracks "Think Positive"(often played live as "Drink Positive"), "Ded Teds", and "Pothead" and has been named as one of the best skate punk records of all time. Ward, however, was not part of this recording
