ABBA is the third (second internationally) studio album by the Swedish pop group of the same name. It was originally released on 21 April 1975 through Polar Music and featured the hits "Mamma Mia" and "SOS". Following the Eurovision success of "Waterloo", ABBA saw the band gaining worldwide recognition. I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" topped the charts in Australia, as did "Mamma Mia" shortly after.

By the time ABBA released their 3rd album in 1975, Bjorn and Benny had finally decided to let the 2 girls take centre stage since they were the better singers. This turned out to be a great move because a large part of the "ABBA sound" and their success was due to the combination of Agnetha's and Frida's contrasting voices.

ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest and had their internationally break through. Manager Stig Anderson was praised by artist from all over the world. A number of hit songs came - for example "Honey Honey", "So Long", "Mamma Mia" and "SOS". In Australia the groups video was shown on TV and the country was hit by the so-called ABBA fever. In 1976 was ABBA one of the worlds most popular groups.
