The Revival is the second studio album by American R&B band Tony! Toni! Toné! It was released on May 8, 1990, by Wing Records. The album was produced and arranged primarily by Tony! Toni! Toné! They were assisted on a few songs by the production duo Foster & McElroy, who had produced the band's 1988 debut album, Who?. They recorded The Revival at several studios in California and used a Synclavier music workstation.
Tony! Toni! Toné! was an R&B group from Oakland, California popular from their formation in 1988 to the mid to late 1990s. It was composed of D'wayne Wiggins on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Raphael Wiggins (also known as Raphael Saadiq) on lead vocals and bass, and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley on drums. Other members were Elijah Baker, Carl Wheeler, Randall Wiggins, and Antron Haile.
