ESOTERIC formed in July 1992, after the gathering of five individuals, inspired to create dark, innovative music that was evocative. UK Experimental Doomsters ESOTERIC are set to begin recording their seventh full-length album on the 11th April at vocalist/guitarist Greg Chandler's Priory Recording Studios in Birmingham. The as yet unnamed album will be the long-awaited follow up to 2011's "Paragon of Dissonance" and is expected to be released on Season of Mist during 2019 tar, Mark Bodossian on Bass, Greg Chandler on Guitar and Vocals, Joe Fletcher on Drums, and Jim Nolan on Guitar, are anticipating completing the album in May.

Esoteric is a British funeral doom band from Birmingham founded in 1992. Releasing five studio albums, an extended play, and a demo, the band is widely regarded as among the first groups to develop the funeral doom style.

After all the legalities ensued, ESOTERIC recorded their debut album and set out to create one of the weirdest and most demanding albums of the mid-90s. ESOTERIC has been quite exemplary in their ability to tweak their sound ever-so-slightly on album after album but they proved themselves worthy quite well even on this gem of a debut that not only immediately separates them from the pack of death doom and funeral doom progenerators but also displays an emotional depth of character that few were capable of experiencing.
