Restructured Layers, which kicks off with a chorus of those New-Agey sonic signifiers, is (happily) neither of the above. The album, constructed by producer and Out of Orbit label boss man Martin Swanstein (. Martinez), is, as the name implies, one of those slice-and-dice affairs that piles snippets of multiple tracks on top of one another so that each of the mix’s songs is actually a mlange of six or so original compositions.
