Jericho is the eighth studio album by Canadian-American rock group the Band. Coming seventeen years after their "farewell concert", it was released in 1993 and was the first album to feature the latter-day configuration of the group, as well as their first release for the Rhino subsidiary Pyramid Records.

Walls of Jericho is an American metalcore band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1998. Walls of Jericho were formed following the demise of two Detroit based bands. The first being the influential Earthmover, featuring members Mike Hasty (guitar) and Wes Keely (drums). The second was a band called Universal Stomp which Aaron Ruby (bass) played in. Both bands fizzled out at around the same time prompting the three friends to start a new band

In late summer 1965, Bob Dylan was looking for a backup band for his first . electric" tour, & Levon and the Hawks were recommended by blues singer John P. Hammond. Sessions with Dylan ended in October 1967. Stories vary as to the manner in which they ultimately adopted the name "The Band. but by 1968 with the release of their first album, Music From Big Pink, they were performing officially as The Band. From 1968 to 1975 The Band was one of the most popular and influential rock groups in the world, with the magazine Rolling Stone lavishing praise on them, giving.

The playing, if not the singing, is seldom short of outstanding, and the work on one track, "Can't Seem To Make It Happen", is absolutely astounding - it still takes my breath away after 25 years. - Bill Munson on Jericho. Another early band-mate of Robbie, Scott Cushnie, who also played in the Suedes, took Gordon Fleming's place in a second version of Jericho, formed around DiFelice to take advantage of the name and the hit single; neither Gerrard nor Keeler was in that version. Jericho released their self-titled Bearsville album in 1971 and split soon after. They had one hit record with "Make It Better" in 1971, on Bearsville Records, distributed by Ampex Records in Canada and the United States. Make It Better" and its flipside, "Cheater Man", were written by Fred Keeler.
