To close out the album, Morrison, for the umpteenth time, evokes that magic word Caledonia on Caledonia Swing. Fans know that this single ancient word, which was the name that the Romans gave to the area now known as Scotland/Northern England, carries a lot of meaning for Morrison. Hell, he named his most famous band from the mid-1970s after it: The Caledonia Soul Orchestra.
Morrison promoted the album with a short US tour including an appearance at the SXSW music conference, and a UK concert broadcast on BBC Radio 2. In the first week of release Keep It Simple debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at number ten, Morrison's first Top Ten charting in the U. .Morrison released his 34th studio album, Born to Sing: No Plan B on 2 October 2012 on Blue Note Records.
