Lou Reed - The RCA & Arista Album Collection brings together-for the first time in one comprehensive anthology 16 groundbreaking studio and live album titles written, recorded (and often produced) by Reed as a solo artist following the 1970 dissolution of the Velvet Underground. Each of the 16 albums (Lou Reed Live Take No Prisoners, from November 1978, fills 2CDs) in the 17CD library was newly remastered under Lou's direct personal supervision, a long-term project completed shortly before the artist's passing, at 71, on October 27, 2013. Excellent Collection though incomplete. Lou Reed Live is missing as is Live In Italy, then again it says RCA & Arista Album Collecion and not Complete album collection. Was not in original album protective package. Replaced in perfect condition. I think first album was a return. Received replacement in 2 days.

This item is the double CD album NYC Man by Lou Reed. It was released on BMG Records in 2003. The discs are in excellent condition, have been test played and play well.
Released in 2013, Original Album Series offers five Lou Reed albums from the middle period of his solo career - 1989's New York to 2000's Ecstasy - for a budget price. The packaging is basic to save costs, with each album in a paper sleeve that replicates the artwork. The first two albums of the series, New York and Songs for Drella, are the most essential of the bunch, but this is a quick and cheap way to get Magic and Loss, Set the Twilight Reeling, and Ecstasy as well, since each has its moments.
