The Help Album is a 1995 charity album to raise funds for the War Child charity, which provided aid war-stricken areas, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina. All the songs were recorded in a single day. The album features British and Irish artists including Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur and the Manic Street Preachers. It was followed by 1 Love (2002), Hope (2003), Help!: A Day in the Life (2005) and War Child Presents Heroes (2009).
Their intention was that by the end of the day they would each have recorded a track for this album, with the aim of raising money for and focusing attention on the children caught up in the war in former Yugoslavia. At the time of writing the artists lending their support for the project are Blur, Boo Radleys, The Charlatans, The Chemical Brothers, Neneh Cherry, Brian Eno, Noel Gallagher, The Levellers, The Manic Street Preachers, Portishead, Radiohead, Suede, Stone Roses, Terrorvision, Paul Weller and Andrew Weatherall (with apologies to others still to be confirmed). This album is a result.

In 1995, The Help Album was released just days after it was recorded and proved a huge hit and raised a stack of money for the War Child charity. The quality of tracks helped: a Manics cover of Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, an early outing for Radiohead’s Lucky and even Kate Moss offering backing vocals to Oasis. Help! is the fifth studio album by English rock band the Beatles and the soundtrack from their film Help!. It was released on 6 August 1965. Produced by George Martin, it was the fifth UK album release by the band, and contains fourteen songs in its original British form. Seven of these, including the singles "Help!" and "Ticket to Ride", appeared in the film and took up the first side of the vinyl album.
Various artists compilations are compilation albums that feature tracks by more than one artist. To get the most out of compilations, making them more navigable in your music library, you need to treat them differently to other albums. Unlike albums, various artist compilations do not make up one contiguous body of work by an artist. This means they often require some form of separation while navigating. For instance, say you are interesting in playing an entire album by one particular artist. You don't want to be shown individual tracks from compilations the artist may be featured on.

Radiohead's "Lucky" equals the best on their fine 1995 album, The Bends (it would later be a highlight on OK Computer), The Boo Radleys turn in a first-rate track and Suede's cover of Elvis Costello's "Shipbuilding" is moving. Blur, appearing under their original name Seymour, contribute a kitschy instrumentals, which will probably baffle anyone but dedicated fans. Come Together" doesn't quite live up to expectations, yet it's charming, much like Help itself.
