Piotr Wojtasik – born in 1964 in Wrocław, Polish jazz trumpeter, a graduate of the Faculty of jazz and popular music Academy of music in Katowice, lecturer at the Academy of music in Katowice and the Academy of music. of Karol Lipinski in Wrocław. Piotr Wojtasik (Piotr Wojciech; born June 10, 1964 in Wroclaw, Poland) - is a polish jazz trumpeter, composer and producer. His father is Edward Wojtasik (born 1940) and his mother is Halina Wojtasik (born 1945). His wife is Alexandra and his son is Milos. In 2008 he won a "Fryderyk For Jazz Musician Of The Year", as well as winning "Best Jazz Record" for the album "Circle" (2007). His first individual album came in 1993 and featured some of the finest orthodox jazz musicians of that time: Jan ‘Ptaszyn’ Wróblewski on tenor saxophone, Wojciech Niedziela on piano, Andrzej Cudzich on double bass and Eryk Kulm on the drums. Since then, he has been amazingly successful as a band leader, recording with the majority of the best Polish artists and some significant jazz players from all around the world (such as David Liebmann, Buster Williams, Ben Riley, Reggie Workman, Vincent Herring Gary Bartz, Wayne Dockery or Wes McCraven).
