Tim Akkerman is a singer-songwriter, who became famous in the Dutch rockband Di-rect. After the tour with their version of the rockopera Tommy by The Who, he decided to go for a solo-career. His first performance was the 23rd of August, 2011 at amusement park The Efteling in The Netherlands. His first album, Anno was released in november 2011.

On the 21st of December, Tim Akkerman made the start of the dark Dutch winter a bit brighter. The Diligentia theater, in his home town The Hague, was the stage for his premiere show. It’s called The Journey, named after his recently released second album. He performed in the Diligentia, in stead of a more regular music venue, because the show is more than a concert.
