Dragonland - Starfall album flac

Starfall is the third album released by the power metal band Dragonland, and the first not to deal with "The Dragonland Chronicles". The music for Starfall was mainly written between June 2003 and May 2004 after arriving home from their 2003 Japan tour. The song, "To the End of the World", from this album, was performed during that tour, before it was even recorded. A demo version of "As Madness Took Me" can be found on YouTube. All tracks written by Dragonland, except where noted.

So that's Dragonland's Starfall. A very good album indeed, even for someone like me who is used to more extreme, less melodic music. If you have an appreciation for the roots of metal being brought into the modern era of metal, because that's basically what power metal represents, you should enjoy Starfall. DRAGONLAND have always been, for me, a fairly average Power Metal band with excellent musicianship, the idea has always been there but they havent been able to execute it properly.

Starfall here makes no exception. Dragonland have garnered quite a bit of attention from the underground metal scene, and rightly so. Especially with the release of Astronomy in 2006. Starfall however, is quite different from your average power metal release. It doesn't contain 'shred' style solos like one might possibly expect, songwriting ability is far more advanced and focuses a lot on fantasy without sounding too cheesey, and the instruments are played in a far more detailed, dynamic and emotional way.
