George Benson – White Rabbit. Label: CTI Records – CTI 6015. Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Gatefold. What an album! Featuring an all star cast of musicians who all are masters in their own rite! The featured cut white rabbit is wonderfully orchestrated by Don Sebesky as are the cover songs.
For George Benson's second CTI project, producer Creed Taylor and arranger Don Sebesky successfully place the guitarist in a Spanish-flavored setting full of flamenco flourishes, brass fanfares, moody woodwinds and such. The idea works best on "California Dreamin'" (whose chords are based on Andalusian harmonies), where, driven by Jay Berliner's exciting Spanish rhythm guitar, Benson comes through with some terrifically inspired playing

He then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and scat singing. His album Breezin' was certified triple-platinum, hitting no. 1 on the Billboard album chart in 1976. His concerts were well attended through the 1980s, and he still has a large following.
