Lightning to the Nations is the debut album by British heavy metal band Diamond Head. The album was recorded in 1979 (after the 1977 and 1979 demos) and released in 1980 through Happy Face Records, a label owned by the producer Muff Murfin of The Old Smithy studio of Worcester, due to lack of interest from major labels and the band feeling that they needed to get the ball rolling as other bands from the same era, such as Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, were already becoming big names.

Chain Lightning is an album by American singer-songwriter Don McLean. It was recorded in Nashville between June and August 1978 and featured many of that city's noted session players as well as backing vocals from The Jordanaires. It was first released in December 1978 in the UK and other markets, but not released for another two years in the US following its delayed success in European markets.

Lightning Head (an alias of Rockers Hi-Fi's Glyn Bush) originally saw a release in 2002, and there's still an admirable level of variety captured within these four tracks. Kicking off with 'Message To The Tribes', there's a heavy backbone of percussion garnished with flailing vocals and organ tones, whilst 'Message Beats' continues with a not dissimilar theme, latching onto South American style drumming.

The album is officially untitled although the band and fans titled it 'Lightning To The Nations' after the first track. Matrix, Runout: 50501 591 239-2 01 + 52406013. Mastering SID Code: IFPI LV27. Mould SID Code: IFPI 0141. Other (mould outer ring): MADE IN GERMANY BY EDC A.

A super dub album off the sometimes ignored Sonar Kollektiv sublable, Best Seven. Every track here has a special flavor, and can be easily mixed. The fresh take on dub/raggae seen here might be hard to duplicate. Once the crowd has figured out what's going on, it can be nice to have the DLP on hand to spin the tracks back to back.
