John Digweed ‎– Bedrock XX. Label: Bedrock Records ‎– BED20CD. Format: 2 CD, Album, Mixed 2 CD, Album Box Set, Numbered. Top album with 2 mixed discs by Digweed, and all tracks in their unmixed form on the last two CDs. Some very nice futuristic and spacey techno and tech house, with some real melodic gems here. The standout tracks are the always reliable Guy J with a playful track despite its somber name and vocals, End Of Lost Cause; Yunus Guvenen's K'Aisha; and my pick for the best of the set, Hannes Bieger's Mauna Loa.

Not being funny here but i think the pricing of these was hilarious. it works out at almost 20 quid a vinyl, markup included you're looking at 25+ a vinyl, just stupid. I'm an avid bedrock collector but with this i wont bother, tracks are a bit lacklustre.

For me, disappointing. After waiting 3 months for my pre-ordered signed copy I was annoyed to find it to be about 75% Techno. Apparently this is "looking to the future" of Bedrock, so I think I'll pass from now on. If you like Techno, then you should like this. If you expected it to be mostly Proggy with a bit of Prog-trance and Tech-house, forget it.

Absolute bollox! I buy all the Live in sets and they are definitely not dominated by tech house and techno, so how can you say that's what he spins? You don't know what tech house is. Plus I don't care what's "dead" or whatever as my taste isn't controlled by fashion you sheep!

Have you listened to Digweed at all lately? I love progressive as much as anyone but this isnt the early 2000s, he plays progressive still but just no where near as much as tech house or techno. Even though I preordered the set with the vinyls without sampling it just by looking at the tracklist it was pretty obvious the majority would be techno. Plus Bedrock was putting snippets of all the tracks over a month prior to release. The entire release is extremely solid especially with what was included on the vinyls which matters most to me.
