The Illusion of Safety is the second album released by the London based indie pop band The Hoosiers. It was released in the UK on 16 August 2010 and was preceded by the lead single, "Choices" which was released on 1 August 2010. The second single taken from the album was originally expected to be "Unlikely Hero", but Irwin has stated on the Hoosiers' Twitter feed that this plan has been changed, and stated that the band "will let you know what soon.
llusion Of Safety - "Too Late To Exist" (Bridges Intact). While earlier albums like Probe and In 70 Countries exploited the use of experimental sound collage, spoken samples - often of torture victims - and unstable noise, Bridges Intact sees the project venturing into less psychologically pummeling territory.

Illusion of Safety's "Heartmath" begins with a knock-'em-dead big-band cue thrown into the digital echo chamber and left to decay for a couple of minutes before a drone settles in and tiny shards of the original sample reappear, hitting listeners with increasing intensity until the needle gets stuck in a locked groove.
