Two more excellent Spinanes records followed-1996’s Strand and 1998’s Arches and Aisles-and after the Spinanes disbanded, Gates continued to perform and put out her own music while Plouf joined those ’90s stalwarts Built to Spill. Manos remained precious to me but nowhere to be found on this site or Apple Music. The origins of bands were so mysterious before the Internet, and the Spinanes felt like that to me in 1993-a discovery. Can you tell me how you and Scott Plouf came to be? Sure.
