Loveblows & Lovecries – A Confession is the debut album of British art rock band No-Man. It was released in the UK by One Little Indian Records label in May, 1993, and in a slightly different format in the US on 550 Music in May, 1994. Taking It Like a Man", a single taken from the US version of the album reached number 34 on the Billboard Dance Chart in April 1994 and was used on the US TV drama, Models, Inc.

Not an album but a brief collection of early singles and cuts for One Little Indian, Lovesighs is a wonderful introduction to the group as a whole, not to mention a near-perfect official start for the band in and of itself. The blend of Tim Bowness' breathy, passionate singing, Steve Wilson's ear for funk loops and dance beats, and Coleman's elegant violin playing immediately set the band apart from the rampant 1990 baggy scene into its own shimmering, sharp world.

Lovesighs' was NO-MAN's first album after two years of issuing singles with limited success. To my ears the band appeared to be positioning themselves somewhere in the PET SHOP BOYS area. BOWNESS's laconic delivery, subtle variations on a monotone, gives the band a distinctive flavour. No-man is a very different sounding entity than Steven Wilsonīs most famous band Porcupine Tree which all other Steven Wilson projects always will be compared to.

Lovesighs – An Entertainment was No-Man's first mini-album, released in 1992 on the One Little Indian label. It comprised a collection of the band's singles and b-sides from 1990 and 1991. An ambitious and diverse collection of sensual songs and innovative instrumentals, the album combined influences from dub, dream pop, classical and hip-hop music. Both "Colours" and "Days In The Trees" were singles of the week in Melody Maker, Sounds and on Channel Four's teletext. Lovesighs was trailed by a further single "Ocean Song".

No-Man are a British art-pop duo formed in 1987 as No Man Is An Island (Except The Isle Of Man) by singer Tim Bowness and t Steven Wilson (the latter also of Porcupine Tree). Lovesighs: An Entertainment Album.
