Songs is the third studio album by Norwegian new wave band Fra Lippo Lippi. Later that year, Virgin Records signed the band to a worldwide contract. The album was reissued and released internationally in 1986 with some songs re-recorded or remixed and the addition of the song "Everytime I See You".
Fra Lippo Lippi shed their skin on Songs. On Songs, Fra Lippo Lippi leave their gothic past behind, uncovering the pop heart beneath their morose perspective on life. Sad tunes still abound, but vocalist Per Oystein Sorensen expands the emotional scope of the lyrics
Songs is the third studio album by Norwegian pop rock group Fra Lippo Lippi. Lippi was born in Florence around 1406 to Tommaso, a butcher, and his wife. Both his parents died when he was still a child. Mona Lapaccia, his aunt, who being too poor to rear him placed him at the age of eight in the neighbouring Carmelite convent, where he was educated.
