Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), known as Robyn (Swedish pronunciation: ), is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. She arrived on the music scene with her 1995 debut album, Robyn Is Here, which produced two US Billboard Hot 100 top-10 singles: "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love". Her second and third albums, My Truth (1999) and Don't Stop the Music (2002), were released in Sweden.

Robyn became known in the late 1990s for her worldwide dance-pop hit "Do You Know (What It Takes)" from her debut album Robyn Is Here (1995). She co-wrote the song "Du gör mig hel igen" ("You Make Me Whole Again") for Melodifestivalen 1997. The popularity of her number-one hit single "With Every Heartbeat", and subsequent album release Robyn (2005), brought her mainstream success worldwide. 1, in June of that year, peaking at number one in Sweden. It was her first album since Robyn. The album's lead single "Dancing on My Own", released a few weeks prior to the album's release, became a hit single worldwide, and brought her a 53rd Grammy Awards nomination for the category of Best Dance Recording. A follow-up album, Body Talk Pt.

This is where Robyn takes at-home samba lessons. It’s also where she writes and records some of her music. In the room, an idea board hovers above her workstation. I called the album Honey because of what this song means to me, and how it was important to the making of the record. Maybe Honey describes a state of mind instead of the actual substance. To get myself back into actually enjoying making music again, I had to do it in a sensitive way. There’s a sensuality that came out of that, that I wanted to achieve. 7. Between the Lines. I’m not always seeing the best outcome; it matters what you do. But the song is defiant in that maybe my heart will be broken again, but maybe I will think about it in a different way. Maybe I won’t let it destroy me.

Robyn to Release Mini-Album 'Do It Again' with Royksopp May 26. Last December, Robyn announced that she was "making music again" with Röyksopp's Svein Berge and ‪Torbjørn Brundtland‬ and that she would be touring with the electronic duo this summer. The "Dancing On My Own" singer later revealed the pair had crafted a five-song EP scheduled for release May 26 via e. Now, the mini-album's throbbing electro-pop title track has appeared online and it doesn't disappoint. Elsewhere, the mini-album contains a "big thumping house" track called "Sayit," featuring a duet between Robyn and what is described as an "aroused robot. Then there's the closer, "Inside the Idle Hour Club," described via press release as "a pensive, slowly evolving soundscape. Robyn and Röyksopp have collaborated before.

It was released as part of the mini-album Do It Again in May of 2014. In that version, it’s a 9 minute club jazz epic where Robyn ruminates on the nature of death and our legacies. In this version, Röyksopp enjoy two instrumental interludes that conjure atmospheric space travel across icy blue dance floors while jazz flutes and saxophones engage in serpentine dialogues.
