Pearl Jam will head out on a 24-date North American tour this fall that begins in October and runs through early December, the band announced today (July 8) as the culmination of the mysterious PearlJam. com countdown clock that's been running for the past week. The group begins the two-part trek in Pittsburgh, Penn. on October 11 and will play arenas across the continent before wrapping up in their hometown of Seattle on December 6 (see below for a full list of the tour dates)  . Pearl Jam recently wrapped up a sold-out, two-month sweep of North American arenas in support of its tenth and latest studio album, Lightning Bolt. Since then, the company has served as the group’s primary live production provider. According to Rat Sound’s Kevin McKenzie, who has served as Pearl Jam’s system tech for the past decade, the PA deployed at each stop typically featured 14 K1 plus six KARA downfills per side with adjacent hangs of a dozen K1-SB.

Preceding the album announcement, Pearl Jam revealed a 24-date North American trek: the first leg kicks off in Pittsburgh on October 11th and will wrap up in New Orleans with their previously announced headlining slot at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience. Leg two begins November 15th in Dallas and ends with a Seattle homecoming on December 6th. Tickets go on sale July 26th.
