Anton Wild Goose ( born April 17, 1881 in Vienna, † May 3, 1932 in Mödling, Lower Austria ) was an Austrian poet and playwright. Wild Goose studied 1900 Law at the University of Vienna and attended lectures by Wilhelm Jerusalem. He received his doctorate in 1908 and worked for two years as coroner until he decided on the profession of independent writer. Twice, in the years 1921/1922 and 1930/1931, he was director of the Burgtheater in Vienna. He was known especially for his socially critical works
