Only for completionists (7%). I haven't yet heard all of John Wetton's albums, but Rock Of Faith might very well be his best solo album. The sonic quality of the album is very high and from a production point of view it is perfect. It sounds much better than his Arkangel album. Admittedly, there is no individual song on this album that is as good as the title track on Battle Lines, but the album as a whole is stronger than Battle Lines in my opinion.

The prog-rock veteran's 2003 solo album. The CD features 11 compositions & marks the first collaboration in many years between Wetton & Asia co-writer Geoff Downes.

Wetton's latest, Rock of Faith, is no exception. With each listen I find myself growing more attached to this gem of a CD. The highlights of the CD are the two songs co-penned by former Asia bandmate, Geoffrey Downes, I've Come to Take You Home and I Lay Down but truly there are no weak spots on the album. The album is peppered with Eastern European influences, heavenly choirs, Supertramp-esque keyboards and saxophones, and even hints of Beach Boy, Brian Wilson's multi-layered vocal harmonies. The instrumental tracks, Mondrago and Altro Mondo are lush and absolutely beautiful. Rock of Faith' begins the experience of listening to what John has to say and one needs to focus on the positive message that is conveyed here to appreciate the rest of the album. And what can be said about his cast of players? Geoffrey Downes, Clive Nolan, Martin Orford, John Mitchell, to name only a few.

John Wetton's early-2003 album Rock of Faith appeared after a two-year string of concert releases. It was written at a crossroads in the singer/bassist's life, in the wake of his 50th birthday - it was also occasioned by his extended visit to Vienna, which stimulated him artistically, and recorded in the wake of the dire world events of 2001 halfway around the globe.

John Kenneth Wetton (12 June 1949 – 31 January 2017) was an English singer, bassist, and songwriter. He was born in Willington, Derbyshire, and grew up in Bournemouth, Dorset. He rose to fame with bands Mogul Thrash, Family, King Crimson, Roxy Music and Uriah Heep. Following his period in Uriah Heep, Wetton formed . and later - after a brief stint in Wishbone Ash - he was the frontman and principal songwriter of the supergroup Asia, which proved to be his biggest commercial success.
