Osterberg began his music career as a drummer in various high school bands in Ann Arbor, Michigan, including the Iguanas, who cut several records such as Bo Diddley's "Mona" in 1965. His later stage name, Iggy, is derived from the Iguanas. After exploring local blues-style bands such as the Prime Movers (with brothers Dan and Michael Erlewine), he eventually dropped out of the University of Michigan and moved to Chicago to learn more about blues. Warhol wrote that he met Iggy when he was Jim Osterberg, at the Ann Arbor Film Festival in 1966. I don't know why he hasn't made it really big," Warhol wrote. The 1982 album Zombie Birdhouse on Chris Stein's Animal label, with Stein himself producing, was no more commercially successful than his Arista works.
Don’t Know Why was written by Jesse Harris which originally appeared on his 1999 album, Jesse Harris & the Ferdinandos. Jones then covered it for her debut 2002 album Come Away with Me, where it was released as the first single and hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song charted at 459 in Blender magazine’s 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born. Jones recorded her debut, Come Away With Me, with an acoustic trio on Blue Note Records. Among the album’s originals was a track written by her friend Jesse Harris: ‘Don’t Know Why,’ a quietly dazzling tribute to romantic indecision. It song crept its way from adult contemporary radio onto the playlist of every coffeehouse during that slow-to-thaw spring - and in 2003, Jones won five Grammys, including record of the year and best female pop vocal performance for ‘Don’t Know Wh.
Mona Kasten, CreatorMona Kasten. She breaks them all. A new start. It’s the only thing keeping Allie Harper going, when she packs up her life and moves across the country to Woodshill, Oregon. She’s about to start college, desperate to leave the ghosts of her past behind her. Even if that means never talking to her parents again. Now the hard part – finding an apartment before classes start. Just when it seems she’ll have to live out of her car, Allie visits one more place.
Lyrics to "Don't Know Why" song by Norah Jones: I waited 'til I saw the sun I don't know why I didn't come I left you by the house of fun I don't k. .My heart is drenched in wine But you'll be on my mind Forever. Something has to make you run I don't know why I didn't come I feel as empty as a drum I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come I don't know why I didn't come. Thanks to Doc for correcting these lyrics.
