Anthony Dixson, better known by his stage name, Boogie, (born August 30, 1989) is an American hip-hop artist from Compton, California. He is known for bringing real life experiences into his music. His debut mixtape, Thirst 48, was released on June 24, 2014, followed by his next mixtape, The Reach which was released a year later. In 2016, he released his third mixtape Thirst 48, Pt. II and signed to Shady Records/Interscope in 2017. His debut album Everythings for Sale was released on January 25, 2019.

Boogie is from Compton, with a slyly giggling voice that makes him a spiritual cousin, of sorts, to Devin the Dude. He has Devin’s gift for observational humor, for singing his own choruses, and for making songs that seem light but can cut deeper than you expect. His follow-up, The Reach, is a little darker, and a little more outwardly emotional, than Thirst 48, which kept the energy casual. The beats were quiet, tinged with some subdued horns and a general vibe of electric relaxation. The Reach opens with an expansive and melodramatic sample from Route 94’s "My Love", with Jess Glynne’s already-deep voice pitched down.

Laced with 12 tracks, The Reach enlists the production talents of Jahlil Beats, Willie B, AC, Mike Zombie, Dart, and Keyel, who co-executive produced the tape along with YungGroupon. There are no features aside from backup crooning from D'anna "Homegirl from Compton" Stewart.

Boogie followed up Thirst 48 with 2015’s The Reach, a 12-track project released on his son’s birthday. Shortly after, Boogie announced that he’d signed a deal with Interscope Records. Nearly a year later, on October 12th, Eminem announced that Boogie will join Shady Records. On January 25th, 2019 Boogie released his first album under Shady Records titled Everything’s For Sale.
